Oded Melamed

Formerly Co-Founder & CEO, Altair Semiconductor

Oded Melamed is an accomplished entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience. As co-founder and CEO of Altair Semiconductor, Oded has led the company from its inception, growing it to become a leading player in the 4G LTE space. The company was acquired in 2016 by Sony Corporation for $212 million. 

Prior to founding Altair Semiconductor, Oded served as Director of Cable Modem R&D at Texas Instrument. While there, Oded helped shape and execute strategies that positioned the company as the preeminent provider of silicon and software solutions for the Voice over IP (VoIP) Cable Modem market. Prior to Texas Instruments, Oded was a core leader of Libit Signal Processing. When the company was acquired by Texas Instruments in 1999, he was instrumental in the successful transition and integration process and led the new business unit to exceptional profitability.

Oded started his career at an elite R&D unit of the Israel Defense Forces. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Tel Aviv University and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg-Recanati program.
