Shlomit Wagman

Director General, Israel's Financial Intelligence Unit - IMPA

 

Dr. Shlomit Wagman is the Director General of Israel’s Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority (IMPA), the Israeli Financial Intelligence Unit. She is heading the Israeli delegations to the FATF, Moneyval and the Egmont.

She joined IMPA as its General Counsel, after working with leading law firms in the USA and Israel. She served as adjunct lecturer at Tel Aviv University, Bar-Ilan University and The Interdisciplinary Center, was a fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School and co-edited a book on Cybercrime (NYU Press, 2007), with Prof. Jack Balkin et al. 

She holds J.S.D. and LL.M. degrees from Yale Law School and a joint LL.B. and B.A. degree in law and business management form the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (magna cum laude). She clerked for the Chief Justice of the Israeli Supreme Court, the Honorable Professor Aharon Barak.
