Executive Director, Identity and Biometric Applications Unit, Israel National Cyber Directorate
Mr. Friedman is the Chief Executive Director of the Identity and Biometric Applications Unit at INCD – Prime Minister's Office. He is In charge of performing Oversight of Israel's National eID and ePassport project, including Israel's National Biometric Database. This includes publishing periodic reports regarding the status of the project. In His role as Biometric Applications Commissioner, Roy made a public recommendation regarding the contents of the National Biometric Database.
Roy led an inter-ministerial committee that devised Israel's Policy for Secure Digital Identification, and now leads its implementation plan.
Before joining INCD, Roy held several management positions in the private sector, in the management and sale of digital information.
