Michael Meli, CISO, Managing Director Senior Advisor of Bank Julius Baer, is a senior security expert with a solid and proven record of accomplishments. He held over four senior management positions as IT auditor, CISO and CSO and has a proven experience in restructuring corporate security functions by transforming them into highly mature, agile and business enabling security organisations. In fact, Michael successfully designed and implemented the information security strategies and the respective organisations for two banks and for a national telco carrier. Michael holds a master’s degree in Information and Technology Management of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and he is a member of the board of directors of the security start-up xorlab (a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology cyber security spinoff). He is also a member of the Swiss Banking Association Cyber Expert group.
